How gorgeous is this card? I love it. AND it’s purple – I’m not a purple lover, but I still think this is lovely 🙂 I’m calling it “Stampin Up watercolour resist technique” and it’s a take on the clear emboss technique but with a bit of a twist and it was shared on a group that I’m part of last week and I thought I would share with you.
Wendy Cranford is a very talented Stampin Up Demo from the US and she shares how she did this in this video on her blog post HERE.
Here is what she did in a nutshell….
She coloured the background with marker pens to add colour onto Watercolour paper. Then she flooded the paper with water and to mix the different colours together. Then dry the design. Use Versamark ink together with your stamp to stamp your design that you want darker onto your watercolour paper. Cover with clear embossing powder and heat. Leave to cool down. Then add more water over the background to make the background that isn’t protected by the melted powder lighter.
Here’s another design with the similar colours…
And another one….
And one last one…
I really like the effect and thought you might like it too 🙂
Don’t forget that there are only two weeks left of Sale-a-Bration, so you can claim your free goodies by going HERE
