Stampin Up Valentines Day – not just for Valentines!

Happy Valentines Day everyone, Stampin Up style!

Heart Valentine card

I LOVE the Bloomin’ love stamp set and Bloomin’ Heart Framelits set ūüôā ¬†And for the day of love, what better than to share a Valentines Day card with you, but not necessarily for your other half, for a friend that means the world to you. ¬†Lots of shimmer and glitter with this card in the Blushing Bride glimmer strip down the bottom, the Wink of Stella that you can just see on some of the flowers and some Blushing Bride sequins to add some more decoration to the edges. ¬†A couple of rhinestones and you’re all blinged out!

I was a little hesitant to buy this set as I thought – well it’s just for Valentines Day and I only make one card! ¬†But then I challenged myself to use the set for other occasions and I’ll share these with you over the coming few days. ¬†Shall we say wedding, anniversary, and just because….

The delicate detail in the die-cut is just amazing and I immediately thought of wedding stationery. ¬†And then it dawned on me how many of those you would have to cut! ¬†Although I have to say with the addition of the Precision plate and this dandy little brush below, it’s all a lot, lot simpler than it used to be, so not such a daunting idea

Brush to get bits out of die cuts

Don’t forget that you only have until the end of tomorrow to buy the three Sale-a-Bration items that are¬†below and then they will be GONE FOREVER! Shop by clicking HERE

Stampin Up Saleabration

So, that’s it for today. ¬†I hope that either you or someone you love is treating you to a day of everything you love. ¬†Me, I’ve been loving my Stampin Up stash to create some cards for my wonderful customers, which makes me happy.

Becoming a Stampin Up Demonstrator

Stampin Up Demonstrator

Just under 8 years ago, I could never have imagined the impact that becoming a Stampin Up Demonstrator would make to my life.

I had started cardmaking 20+ years ago, been published in Cardmaking magazines and even been the Editor of several high street crafting magazines too – yes, I put together the first copy of Simply Cards and Papercraft and featured in the first issue of Quick Cards Made Easy, both that are still around today!

However, whilst this might sound like every crafters dream, being involved 24 / 7 and producing projects to specific instructions, took away my hobby.  So much so, that when I stopped being an Editor, I stopped my hobby all together.  For about 18 months.

I had been running a local scrapbooking club, but it had become more of a social gathering whilst I had lost all my interest in crafting. ¬†Then one of the group suggested a Stampin Up Demonstrator come along for one of the nights. And my interest was peaked! ¬†Oh My! – co-ordinated craft supplies, how easy is that? ¬†Previously, it had taken me forever to pick out things that matched and now, here was a company that took away the need to buy 200 different coloured bits of green card just to find one that matched my¬†patterned paper, they told me¬†exactly what colours to choose! ¬†It was a revolution! And one that got me excited about papercrafting again. ¬†But, what to buy? ¬†I went through the whole catalogue and had a wish list of about ¬£600 – oops! ¬†But don’t tell me you don’t know what I’m talking about LOL! So that night, I just bought the catalogue….that was it, I couldn’t decide.

Stampin Up Starter Kit

So, when I saw the Starter Kit available in the catalogue, it made complete sense to me to buy a starter kit and then I could get a discount off of the rest of my wish list.  Perfect!

Then a friend said she would have a party for me. ¬†I hadn’t even thought about doing parties, I just joined for the discount. ¬†So I did my first party (yes, I was petrified, but loved it!) and earnt ¬£100. ¬†Ooooo, so now it dawned on me that I could earn the money to pay for my wish list! Even better!

And now, nearly 8 years later, Stampin Up is still paying for my wish list and soooo much more besides.

I am rarely one to blow my own trumpet, but I am thrilled with what Stampin Up has brought into my life in the last 8 years. ¬†Not just LOTS of supplies ūüôā but trips around the world, designer handbags, ipads, an income that helps to pay for life’s little extras, not to mention the people that have been brought into my life and become firm friends.

Why don’t you read more about my story HERE and come and join our fabulous group of fellow crafters who are just passionate about crafting and Stampin Up¬†products? ¬†I’d love for you to join us and experience the amazing experiences that I’ve experienced too.

Stampin Up Sale a Bration Become a Demo

And until the end of March, you can pick ¬£160 of goodies from either catalogue, or the Clearance Rack and pay just ¬£99 including delivery to your door! ¬†What’s not to love?

Why don’t you come and join our group of passionate papercrafters who have fun together whilst getting the discount off our goodies – have a look HERE for more information.

Stampin Up Flurry of Wishes

Stampin Up Flurry of Wishes

Hi all,

I LOVE this Stampin Up Flurry of Wishes snowflake stamp set so¬†I thought I would swing by with another one of my cards from October’s class.

The colours used are Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party and Smoky Slate Рmy favourite!  A bit of blingy silver glimmer paper and some white bakers twine and we are almost there.  A few rhinestones for even more bling and we are ready to go.

A single layer card that won’t cost much to post and certainly a design that you can do quite a pile of quickly if you are someone with lots of cards to make and post.

I’m getting excited to join lots of fellow Stampin Up demonstrators in Brussels on Thursday as Stampin Up unveil their Spring / Summer catalogue and next years fabulous Sale-a-Bration promotion. ¬†I can’t wait! ¬†Can you believe I’m talking Spring / Summer catalogue? ¬†You’ll be able to see it in January, so believe it or not, not long now!

Where have I been?

Stampin Up Flurry of Wishes

Hmmm, I can see it’s been over a month since I’ve been here – oopps.

I can promise you that I am still here – just about ūüôā

October has been a crazy month for me and I think committing to updating this blog three times a week was a bit crazy too. ¬†So because I couldn’t update when I promised, I seemed to shy away all together – sorry about that.

This whole work / life balance is still getting some getting used to, but I am happy to report that I am BACK!  But I am going to change the way I do some things.

Last week was Half Term here in the UK and I spent a few days away at Alton Towers with the family as we had promised the boys we would take them this year.  It was lovely to get away from it all and we had a peaceful couple of days.

Then I was back for a day of catching up (and washing) and then I took myself off for three days to completely focus on what I wanted to do with my Stampin’ Up! business and I went here to do a business course all about running a business that I love!

Four Seasons Canary Wharf

DWYL1DWYLIt was a wonderfully inspiring motivating weekend that really put some things into perspective for me, so watch out, I’m feeling kind of like this:

Tired of trying to cram

Until next time….
